Yeah, ok, the whole “pizza is a vegetable” debacle is funny (this is why other countries are laughing at you, America!), but to say that it’s dumb because a tomato is not a vegetable is just stupid. A tomato is a vegetable. Yes, it’s also a fruit. Vegetable is not a scientific term, but a culinary one, and it’s not that well defined. Technically, anything plant-based you eat (that isn’t very sweet?) could be a vegetable. I still don’t see how a pizza is a vegetable if it’s only part vegetable, by that logic freaking anything could be a vegetable … even a hamburger.
